Introduction & Mission
Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering addresses the critical needs in advanced materials that underpin major national interests in both the frontiers of science and strategic development.
Based on the strong foundation of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the new faculty will educate next generation high-quality researchers, engineers and entrepreneurs in material science and engineering, provide service to industry, nation and world, and promote ground-breaking scientific and technological advances to address the multidisciplinary global challenges, such as new generation electronics for information technology, renewable energy conversion and storage, global warming, carbon neutrality, and human health.
Our vision is to establish a new world-leading education and research center in material science and engineering discipline which will have international impacts within the next 10 years.
